Protests and sit-ins of various political parties against the alleged rigging in the general elections are ongoing in Balochistan.
The sit-in of PK MAP, National Party, BNP and Hazara Democratic Party has turned into a protest rally in Quetta.
The leaders of the four-party alliance addressed the protesters. National Party’s Dr. Abdul Malik said that the nationalists are being kept away from the people under a plan in Balochistan.
In Chaman, ANP has been staging a sit-in outside the district complex while in Qila Abdullah the JUI-F is protesting outside DC Office for last 10 days.
On the other hand, the Pakistan People’s Party’s protest against the results of Naseerabad PB-14 has entered into 11th day. The Jamhoori Watan Party has set up a protest camp at Rabi Canal in Jafarabad.
Moreover, the protest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in NA-40 North Waziristan has been going on for last nine days due to which the traffic flow on the highways is affected and many goods vehicles have stuck.
The protestors participating in the protest have demanded the release of results as per Form 45.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s nominated candidate for the prime minister office Omar Ayub has said that the Returning Officer, DC and police officials have rigged in Peshawar.
Addressing a meeting of senior leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, he said that some officers are accused of taking money and we will pursue them in the courts.
In the meeting, the PTI leaders demanded the dismissal of the chief secretaries of Sindh and Punjab on the allegations of alleged rigging and stressed that the IGs of Punjab and Sindh should also be dismissed immediately.
