Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is championing the cause of modernizing public libraries in Sindh to ensure students have access to essential resources. Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Provincial Minister for Culture, Tourism, Antiquities, and Archives, highlighted this initiative during a meeting of the Directorate of Public Libraries in Karachi. With 44 libraries across six divisions of Sindh, there’s a call for expansion to accommodate the growing number of students and readers. However, due to a staffing shortage caused by unfilled positions since 2013, efforts to enhance library services face hurdles.

To bridge this gap, the e-library portal offers over 100 million books for convenient access anytime, anywhere. Minister Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving library facilities and book collections, vowing to personally inspect all libraries.
